RIP: Ming Ming, the world’s oldest panda, passed away from kidney failure at a nature preserve in Guangdong province, China. She was 34.
According to the China Panda Protection Center in Sichuan province, Ming Ming died nearly two weeks ago, however, for reasons unknown, the announcement was held until today.
Wild pandas have a typical lifespan of 15 years, while captive pandas live 22 years on average.
